Boqian is interested in suspension rheology and drop impact physics both experimentally and numerically. He is currently focusing on the following area: (1) impact dynamics of non-Newtonian droplet experimentally and try to discover the physical meaning of this impact process. (2) Solving partial differential equation based on Physics-informed neural network (PINN).

Langqi (Michael) is interested in Particulate clogging, microfluidic approach, capillary flows of complex fluids, and granular materials. He will be focusing on the microfluidic experiments and he hopes to relate these experimental techniques to medical or industrial design. In his spare time, he enjoys writing songs and rehearse in the band. He also loves playing basketball with his friends.

Arkadeep is interested in the physics of droplet impact, inkjet printing, and differential equations.  He will be focusing on various droplet impact experiments involving diverse classes of fluids and will try to use mathematics to discern the underlying physics. His hobbies are reading story books and watching Formula 1.

Matthew is an undergraduate student majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in math. He joined the Tang Lab at the start of 2024 through the AJC research scholars program. His research focus is on the underlying physics of viscous fingering instability in non-Newtonian fluids. Outside of classes and co-ops, Matthew is an avid skier, an active member in the club AeroNU, and heavily involved in the Student Government Association as the Executive Vice President of the undergraduate student body.

Sophia is an undergraduate student studying Pharmacy with a minor in psychology. She hopes to gain an understanding of fluid dynamics and how it may be applied to medication synthesis. Throughout her undergraduate at Northeastern, she is looking forward to developing her research skills and gaining diversified experiences. When she graduates, Sophia plans to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
